"All Sun And Little White Flowers proves that you can't tie Larry Holden down. This guy cannot be pigeon-holed. He will always surprise you. With this film he throws us into a world of pain and joy and innocence and betrayal to tell a story that is hilarious, haunting and painfully intimate. To put it more succinctly; it is the most emotionally complex film he has made to date. Holden's writing, editing, and directing evolve with each film and here they are flat out brilliant. The film breathes and flows in a way that allows us to study what is being presented instead of forcing it down our throats. To do such a thing is a delicate balancing act, but he pulls it off without a hitch. His cast helps him accomplish all of this, of course; every performance big and small adds something unique to the tapestry being woven. This is also his most visually stunning film. It has, I dare say, almost a noirish aesthetic at times, and is certainly one of the more beautiful looking independent films you will see this year. The bottom line is you will not find anyone on planet earth putting out films like Larry Holden. All Sun And Little White Flowers proves that he continues to be a fierce and singular voice in the world of independent cinema. I loved this movie and have watched it too many times to count. And anyone that loves film needs to see it too."

"Dear Mr. Holden,

Though we have never been acquainted, I feel like I know you better than anyone who may have talked to you for three days straight but has not seen one of your films... I am not a person normally associated with the film industry, but I have to tell you made an excellent movie. I felt like I was a part of something wondrous by watching it. I could sit here and talk to you about camera angles and how I liked how you played with vision in the police station scene and the sheer brilliance of the girl at D's Doghouse but why talk to you about stuff that you already know? That's another reason why I like you Mr. Holden. You're smart, and you wouldn't put bullshit in one of your movies, and even if you did, it would be to prove a point about bullshit. So thank you for being honest with your audience. Movies don't do that often.

I think the most important part of the movie is that it's about people. And about the stupid fucking lines that people draw between what is wrong and what is right in the world when they've got it all fucked up anyway. Whatever relationship that Hank may have had with Adrienne doesn't discount the fact that it was beautiful. And people are afraid to think that some shit is beautiful because it questions everything that they are supposed to believe about relationships, but when you factor in the way that her bullshit parents were treating that little girl, Hank was the only guy who was willing to love her, to take a chance on her and not write her off and actually talk to her like a real person instead of focusing on the immaturity of a spouse. Do I know what the real relationship was between that grown man and that prepubescent girl? Nope. Do I care? Nope. That's not the point. The point is when people treat other people like they really exist and are alive and that means something, it is so fucking beautiful that it makes me weep...

My love goes out to you dear heart.

I hope to meet you one day, and congratulations on your film.
Thank you for the truth. "

"When you are drunk, you break into a house. You'll rape the woman inside and fall asleep when you cum. All Sun And Little White Flowers is this woman. In the morning, she'll be your wife again, and she'll kiss you and comment on how horny you were last night. And when you look over at her fat misshapen body, you will remember what love is.

Jesus has risen. "
